The Wolds Way Relay Challenge is back on 24th May 2026.  A 10 Leg Relay Challenge Run limited to 25 teams from local UKA Affiliated Athletic Clubs. This is not an official race but timing will be provided.

As with the last 4 years it is once again being run from North (Filey) to South (Hessle).

A Team Captain should be appointed to enter their team.  After entry they will be contacted to supply team members’ details from their Club.  It is recommended you have at least one reserve that is familiar with the route.  Team category options are Male, Female and mixed teams.  Entry fee is £50 per Team (£5 per runner), this is to cover costs and a bottle of Wolds Way Beer!

A donation of £1 per runner will also be made to  National Trails  who maintain the Yorkshire Wolds Way.

This year the route will be run in reverse, from Filey back “down hill” to Hessle.  The route follows the official Yorkshire Wolds Way, with a 7:30am start at Filey Brigg and finishes at Hessle Foreshore. There will be no additional waymarking or marshals.  It is therefore essential that teams recce the route/legs in advance.

Eight of the ten legs vary in distance from 7 to 9 miles.  The two remaining legs are 5 and 3 miles.
